For 18 years, the Deerfield Arts Tour has included many artists living in Deerfield.  Our neighboring towns are a rich part of our special culture.  This year we are proud to welcome Dan Faiella, from Northwood, as our first Neighbor Guest Artist.  The talented Dan Faiella creates beautiful paintings inspired by life in New England.  You may also recognize him as a wonderful musician who regularly appears on local stages playing traditional Irish and New England music.

My work is inspired by the people, places, and light of my native New England.  I work primarily painting landscape outdoors, pursuing my interest in interpreting fleeting effects of color and light as I experience them in my everyday life.  My larger works expand upon and synthesize ideas gleaned from many smaller paintings done on-site, in order to achieve a deeper exploration of color and light on the forms of the natural world.
