Original abstract acrylic fluid art paintings, cutting boards, coasters, trivets, charcuterie boards, ocean resin trinket dishes, and jewelry boxes

Artist’s Statement
My artistic practice has evolved through a range of media, from clay to printmaking, but in recent years, I have found my primary voice in abstract fluid art, or acrylic pouring. This process—layering fluid acrylic paint and guiding its movement across a surface through tilting, air, and other techniques—embraces both control and chance, resulting in organic, flowing compositions that feel alive and constantly shifting.
I am particularly drawn to bloom, swipe, and Dutch pour techniques, which allow me to explore depth, texture, and intricate cellular patterns. Color plays a central role in my work, often inspired by the movement and palette of the ocean. Through these influences, I aim to capture a sense of motion, energy, and natural rhythm.
Fluid art is inherently unpredictable, and it is within that uncertainty that I find creative momentum. Each piece becomes an act of discovery, pushing me to experiment, adapt, and expand the boundaries of the medium.
My work extends across a variety of functional and decorative surfaces, including canvas, ceramic tiles, coasters, trivets, charcuterie boards, resin trinket trays, bamboo cutting boards, and jewelry boxes. It is available seasonally at NH Valley Artisans and at local arts and crafts fairs throughout New Hampshire. I also accept commissions and offer private lessons for both children and adults, sharing the process and joy of fluid art with others.
