Kathy Patten Hanson

I took my first pottery class as an undergraduate at UMass, Amherst. Clay was a wonderful revelation to me and I have been making clay sculpture and pottery since.

My clay pieces are colorful and sculptural and include a large Rainforest mural located in the Concord Hospital waiting area, as well as vases, wall pieces and functional dinnerware.

Gardens and woods surround my home and studio in Deerfield, NH. My studio, a converted horse barn, is a beautiful, sun filled working space where I make pots, sculpture and paintings and where I teach watercolor classes.
